Job Description

Location: Downtown Jacksonville (across from the courthouse)

Opening Days/Hours: Initially Tuesday through Friday; Monday shifts to be added in the future.

Positions Available:

1. Front-of-House Staff

Responsibilities:

Provide excellent customer service to all patrons.

Take orders accurately and efficiently using the POS system.

Prepare and serve beverages and bagels according to menu standards.

Maintain a clean and welcoming dining area.

Assist with packaging and handing off orders for takeout or delivery.

Requirements:

Friendly and outgoing demeanor.

Ability to handle busy rush periods with a positive attitude.

Previous customer service or hospitality experience is a plus.

2. Cooks

Responsibilities:

Prepare bagels, sandwiches, and other menu items according to company recipes and standards.

Ensure all food items are fresh, properly stored, and prepared safely.

Maintain a clean and organized kitchen area.

Assist with inventory management and restocking supplies.

Requirements:

Prior experience in a kitchen or food prep role preferred.

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Familiarity with food safety and hygiene regulations.

3. Management

Responsibilities:

Oversee daily operations and ensure the team delivers excellent service and food quality.

Manage employee schedules, training, and performance evaluations.

Handle inventory, ordering, and vendor relations.

Monitor financial performance, including sales and expense control.

Requirements:

Experience in a supervisory or managerial role, ideally in food service.

Strong leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Knowledge of food industry best practices and health regulations.

Training:

Training may occur at another Bagels R Us location before the new store opens.
