Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating CNC machines to produce precision parts and components. This role requires a strong understanding of machining processes, programming, and the ability to read and interpret blueprints. The CNC Machinist will work with various materials, including plastics and metals, ensuring high-quality production standards are met.

Duties

Operate CNC lathe machines to manufacture parts according to specifications.

Program CNC machines using Fanuc or similar systems for optimal performance.

Perform setup and calibration of machines, including tooling adjustments.

Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and bore gauges to ensure accuracy.

Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints using GD&T principles.

Conduct routine maintenance on machines to ensure operational efficiency.

Collaborate with engineering teams on CAM programming and design modifications using SolidWorks and CAD software.

Implement lean manufacturing practices to improve productivity and reduce waste.

Assist in assembly processes as needed, ensuring quality control throughout production.

Maintain a clean and organized workspace in compliance with safety regulations.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a CNC Machinist with a strong mechanical knowledge base.

Proficiency in CNC programming, including experience with electrical discharge machining.

Familiarity with plastics injection molding processes is a plus.

Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and tooling effectively.

Strong understanding of basic math concepts related to machining tasks.

Experience with coordinate measuring machines (CMM) for quality assurance is preferred.

Knowledge of welding techniques can be beneficial for certain projects.

Ability to operate forklifts safely within the manufacturing environment is an advantage.

Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
