Job Description

Perform regular preventive maintenance on HVAC systems to ensure efficient operation and minimize downtime.

Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair HVAC equipment including:

Rooftop packaged units (RTUs)

Mini-split systems

Cooling towers

Exhaust fans and supply fans

Adjust system settings and controls to optimize performance and energy efficiency.

Monitor system performance and conduct inspections to identify potential issues.

Replace filters, belts, motors, and other components as needed.

Maintain detailed maintenance logs and documentation for all service and repair activities.

Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal HVAC codes and safety regulations.

Collaborate with other maintenance staff and departments to support production and facility needs.

Assist in planning and executing HVAC upgrades and system improvements.

Respond to emergency HVAC issues during off-hours as needed (on-call rotation may apply).

Maintain accurate records of work performed, including repairs and installations.

Follow all safety guidelines and use appropriate PPE.

Complete tasks in a timely manner with minimal supervision

Follow all health and safety regulations

Special projects as required

Actively role model all company environmental, health and safety standards.

Establish and maintain effective relationships with Operations, Managers, Supervisors, and Team Members.

Ability to work safety with a variety of cleaning supplies.

High school diploma or GED.

Minimum 3 years of experience as an HVAC technician in a commercial or industrial setting.

EPA Section 608 Certification (Type II or Universal).

Strong knowledge of HVAC mechanical systems and electrical controls.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical diagrams.

Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.

Comfortable working at heights and in outdoor or mechanical environments.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

HVAC trade school certification or associate degree in HVACR.

Familiarity with Building Automation Systems (BAS).

Experience in a manufacturing or factory environment
