Job Title: Construction AccountantLocation: Fully Onsite – Kansas City, MOType: Direct Hire $70-85,000 Benefits LHH Recruitment Solutions is working with an organization within the Construction industry who is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Construction Accountant to join our team. This role is critical in managing the financial aspects of construction projects, ensuring accuracy in job costing, billing, and compliance with industry standards.Responsibilities:
Manage job cost accounting for multiple construction projects
Prepare and analyze financial reports, budgets, and forecasts
Process accounts payable and receivable related to construction activities
Monitor project budgets and track expenses against estimates
Collaborate with project managers to ensure accurate billing and cost tracking
Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts
Ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies
Assist with audits and financial reviewsQualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in construction or project-based environments
Strong understanding of job costing and WIP (Work in Progress) accounting
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage 300, Viewpoint, or similar)
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
Pay Details: $70,000.00 to $85,000.00 per year
