FORKLIFT DRIVER
Job Description:
The primary function is Material Handling of corrugated packaging products to feed production lines. Also may be loading and unloading products from shipping containers or trucks.
Requirements:
Good organizational skills.
Attention to details.
Valid forklift certification.
Good physical condition.
Mathematical aptitude.
Good written and verbal communication. Duties:
Safely operate forklift and other material handling equipment.
Use wireless RF scanning equipment to ensure accuracy of inventory.
Proceed to assigned warehouse area to pull orders.
Assist customers with loading vehicles.
Safely drive forklift into shipping containers to load or off load corrugated product.
Operate forklift 7.5 hours of 8-hour work shift.
Adhere to quality and customer service standards set forth by the company.
Review and compare daily "Strapper Report" to production report to verify what has been actually scanned.
Perform inspection of forklift and other material handling equipment.
Process receiving documents and verify packing slip counts.
Submit all shipping and receiving documents at the end of each day.
Identify and report safety hazards in the workplace.
Consolidate partial pallets for incoming materials.
Adhere to safety management standards.
Ability to lift 50 lbs. unassisted.
Reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
Additional duties as assigned.
This position qualifies for our "Sign on Bonus Program" of up to $600. Upon becoming an employee of RPI after the first 90-days you will receive a payment of $300 and after your completion of 6 month with our company you will receive another payment of $300.
