The Junior Business Development Manager will support the Provider/Lender Relationships Team in maintaining client relationships, identifying opportunities, and contributing to revenue growth. This is an entry-level role, designed for someone looking to develop their skills in business development within the UK protection, retirement, and mortgage markets.

The role focuses on:

Retain existing clients through excellent service, engagement, and support

Supporting sales initiatives and market research

Identify and secure new revenue opportunities aligned with IRESS strategy

Learning to build strong relationships with clients and industry partners

Some of the awesome things you’ll be involved with:

Support senior Business Development Managers with client relationship management where needed.

Prepare proposals, presentations, and pricing documents

Contribute to market and competitor research

Track sales opportunities and update progress in reporting tools

Support resolution of basic client queries, escalating complex issues when required

Assist with organising and participating in industry and business development events

Create and progress sales opportunities, moving them through stages to closure

Understand and communicate client strategies

Provide consultancy advice and assistance on products, services, and solutions

Maintain contractual arrangements and manage clients in line with agreements

Conduct regular client service reviews and document outcomes

What you will bring:

Some experience in sales, account management, or client-facing roles (desirable, not essential)

Interest in the UK Financial Services Market and willingness to learn

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

Ability to build positive working relationships with colleagues and clients

Highly organised with good attention to detail

Self-motivated, proactive, and eager to learn

Resilient and adaptable in a fast-paced environment

Confident with Microsoft Office and comfortable learning new systems

Professional, collaborative, and positive attitude

Commitment to developing a career in business development
