Our client is recruiting a Befriending Facilitator to join a key project aimed at tackling isolation for older adults living in care home settings. The role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the community.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver befriending visits to older adults in the community and care homes
Match new volunteers with befriending partners
Organize and facilitate 1:1 and group activities for older adults
Build and maintain relationships with older adults, volunteers, and community partners
Support the ongoing development and promotion of the befriending program
Requirements:
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work independently and use initiative
Strong relationship-building skills
Willingness to divide time between office and community visits
DBS check and references required
