Job Title: Financial Analyst – Tech Finance

Department: Accounts & Finance (FP&A)

Reports to: Corporate Financial Analyst

Location: Kharian Office

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Financial Analyst – Tech Finance with a strong focus on technology and infrastructure optimization, dedicated to partnering with engineering and IT teams to drive financial efficiency across our tech stack. This role will be focused on partnering with the Tech teams to oversee expenditures related to servers, cloud services, SaaS tools, and internal platforms. The ideal candidate will combine financial acumen with technical expertise to ensure optimal utilization and return on tech investments.

Key Responsibilities

Infrastructure & Server Cost Management

Track, forecast, and analyze spend related to on-premise and cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure).

Partner with IT to monitor usage trends, provision capacity plans, and identify optimization opportunities.

Perform cost allocation across departments or products based on usage metrics.Technology Tooling & SaaS Analysis

Maintain a centralized financial view of all tools and subscriptions (e.g., developer tools, productivity suites, analytics platforms).

Conduct comparative analysis of tools for renewal or new adoption decisions based on cost, usage, scalability, and business value.

Track licensing tiers, user counts, and per-user costs for major platforms.Financial Planning & Forecasting

Support the budgeting and forecasting processes for all technology-related expenses.

Collaborate with tech teams to evaluate partner contracts, licensing agreements, and subscription-based services for cost-effectiveness.

Highlight cost drivers, trends, and deviations with actionable insights.Capex & Opex Analysis

Classify and monitor capital expenditures vs. operating costs for technology purchases and projects.

Evaluate ROI on infrastructure investments such as server upgrades, storage, and data centers.

Assist in depreciation schedules or amortization tracking for major tech assets.Reporting & Stakeholder Communication

Build dashboards and models that visualize infrastructure spend, tool utilization, and cost performance against budget.

Prepare monthly/quarterly reporting packages for Finance and Engineering leadership.

Translate technical usage data into business-impacting financial narratives.Vendor Management & Benchmarking

Evaluate vendor pricing models and participate in negotiations with Finance and Procurement teams.

Benchmark spend against industry norms to ensure competitiveness and efficiency.

Monitor contract renewals, auto-renew clauses, and true-ups.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Analytics, or a related field.

2–3 years of experience in a financial analyst or FP&A role with exposure to IT/Technology cost centers.

Experience in a tech-heavy or SaaS company is a strong advantage.

Technical Proficiency

Strong Excel and financial modelling skills; expertise in Advanced Excel.

Familiarity with Python, SQL, Power BI, and Tableau to extract, analyse, and visualize data

Soft Skills

Ability to understand technical concepts and communicate them in financial terms.

Proactive, collaborative, and able to partner cross-functionally across all departments.
