Emt Professional Lab Assistant-Part Time
The Clinical Coordinator is responsible for organizing and overseeing the daily clinical activities between North Georgia Technical College, and contracted clinical sites such as hospitals, clinics, nursing homes and Emergent and Non-Emergent Ambulance Services. They manage student clinical flow and communicate with different departments and ensure patient safety, quality patient care, and a healthy learning environment. Coordinator will also participate in outreach, training, and clinical site management.
Major Duties
A. Service Standards and Customer Service
1. Holds self to the highest professional standard
2. Holds students to obligations and duties
3. Collaborates with clinical sites to ever improve patient care
B. Clinical Practice and Leadership
1. Serves as a role model in the EMS and Health Care professions
2. Provides on-going leadership and mentorship for Clinical Students
3. Serves as a liaison with medical staff to identify issues, solve problems, and review clinical operations
4. Ensure good communication with clinical sites including scheduling of clinical rotations
5. Participates in on-going student education and preceptor training
6. Demonstrates a continuous need to learn
C. Management of Resources
1. Maintains required information files on students
2. Provides required documentation to clinical sites ensuring accuracy and promptness
3. Continuously monitors clinical site requirements to ensure students are compliant.
4. Endlessly evaluating NGTC clinical needs and identifying new relationships to meet said goals
D. Maintenance of Quality Care
1. Serves as a role model, demonstrating effective patient care, leadership and professional behavior
2. Supports a multi-disciplinary approach to patient care
3. Acts as a consultant and a clinical resource
4. Frequently visit clinical sites and meets with preceptors and management
E. Education/Outreach
1. Continues to promote NGTC
2. Participates in certification courses for students and outreach classes
3. Establishes a Preceptor training rotation
4. Looks for clinical site education opportunities that can be filled by NGTC resources
5. Participates in job fairs, open house, and other promotional events
Other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 20 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 10 pounds and the ability to walk and stand for significant amount of time.
Minimum Qualifications
Diploma from an Accredited Paramedic Program
Current Licensure as a Paramedic in Georgia
Three(3) years of EMS experience
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in a medically related field
Licensed Georgia Paramedic with National Registry Certification
EMS Instructor Licensure
Instructor Certification in BLS, ACLS, PHTLS, AMLS, PALS, and GEMS
Clinical Expertise in and out of the hospital medical environment
