Aramark UK are currently recruiting for a 2nd Chef to join our team working at Alexander Barracks, Pirbright, GU24 0QQ

£14.31 per hour

Full time – 37.5 hours a week, 5 days out of 7

Shifts ranging between 5am – 7.30pm

What you'll be doing

You’ll be preparing and serving food to the highest standard

Running shifts and guiding your team when the Head Chef is not present

Producing up to 1000 meals at a time

Organising and supporting your team to ensure a smooth operation daily

Ensure tasks are allocated so teams are fully utilised

Producing food in line with the recipe sheets

Full knowledge of all menu items served

Organising monthly stock count and conduct appropriate brand standard audits

Support the effective delivery of special functions or events

Management of production and food levels to ensure minimal wastage

Placing orders and keeping records of any stock wastage

Completing all shift opening and closing checklists and due diligence

Act as a trainer/ coach for new team members to learn procedures and standards for all kitchen tasks.

Assist in daily and weekly kitchen deep cleans

Undertake relevant training as required Experience

You'll be set up for success if you...

Must have lived in the UK for 3+ years to pass security checks

Confident leader and able to lead by example

Previous experience managing a team in a busy high volume kitchen environment

Relevant culinary qualification

Security clearance and a DBS check is required
