Hotel Maintenance Technician

Job Description

We’re looking for a hardworking maintenance technician to join our team! You’ll make sure our facilities are operating efficiently, regularly inspect our building for any damage, and conduct routine maintenance on our equipment to keep it running smoothly.

The ideal person for this job is a reliable team player and a problem solver who has some prior maintenance experience. $16.50 - $17.50 hourlyResponsibilities:

Record when any equipment was serviced and repairs were made

Conduct routine maintenance on equipment and systems such as HVAC units, plumbing fixtures, and electrical wiring to make sure they’re operating efficiently and make any needed repairs

Check the building for any damage to doors, windows, walls, and make any repairs as needed

Develop and execute preventative maintenance measures to keep our equipment operating efficiently and prevent any safety risks

Manage other maintenance requests as required

May perform general carpentry, tiling, painting, and wall surface repairs (experience is helpful but not required)

Completes maintenance request forms

Cleans and maintains the lobby and other public areas to ensure a safe and clean experience for hotel guests, associates, and vendors

Vacuums and/or sweeps all floor surfaces

Complete and document pool readings (will train)

Transports guests to and from the airport and other locations as requested, while demonstrating all common courtesies and obeying driving and traffic laws (valid, clean driver’s license/record)

Responds in a timely, courteous manner to guests' questions, complaints, or requests

Maintain guests' privacy

Properly maintains tools, workspaces, and equipment

Maintain a high level of professional appearance and demeanor

Performs other duties as assigned, responds on a radio/on-call basisQualifications:

Strong understanding of maintenance equipment, techniques and procedures

Flexible availability for on-call maintenance requests on nights and weekends

Stellar communication skills, attention to detail, and work ethic

Should be able to demonstrate understanding of heating and air conditioning units, plumbing systems, and electrical systems

At least 2 years of maintenance experience

Problem-Solving Skills

Interpersonal Skills (Connecting with Guests on a comfortable, personal level)

Technical and Computer Skills

Knowledge of basic electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry is helpful but not required

Experienced with general maintenance tools

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
