About the project

TUI, is a global business with over 70 000 people on board, great history and challenging plans for building a digital future. TUI is the largest leisure, travel and tourism company globally, and it owns travel agencies, hotels, airlines, cruise ships and retail shops.

Responsibilities

Create and maintain a state of the art web applications

Follow and improve code quality standards

Perform technical assessment of mockups/wireframes and architectural designs/specifications to ensure the possibility of their implementation within a reasonable time

Create and review software feature design documents and provide the solution

Contribute ideas through your knowledge of evolving front-end technologies

Be proactive in communication with team members and clients

Use industry best practices of development processes & tools, adopt, and improve them

Mentorship of junior colleagues

Problem solving, Solution Presentation, Meeting and Visual Facilitation

Qualifications

Proficiency in NodeJS

Experience with recent JavaScript frameworks, preferably React

Ability to optimize frontend performance

Implementation experience with APIs (REST, GraphQL) on client and server sides

Proficiency in experience with cloud platform service

Familiarity with relational and non-relational databases in a cloud-native environment

CI/CD proficiency (preferably GitLab CI), infrastructure as code, and AWS services

Knowledge of software architecture principles

Strong decision-making and negotiation skills

Passion for continuous improvement and team collaboration

Strong problem-solving and communication skills

Understanding of the social and ethical aspects of software engineering
