SEN Teaching Assistant – Full Time

Location: Hailsham

Pay: £89.05 – £100 per day

Hours: 08:30 – 15:30

Contract Type: Full-Time, Long-Term (Temp-to-Perm Options Available)

We are currently recruiting for a Full-Time SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Hailsham. This is a long-term position supporting pupils with special educational needs (SEN), with temp-to-perm opportunities available for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils with special educational needs

Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement tailored support plans

Assist in managing behaviour and promoting positive engagement in the classroom

Help create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment

Requirements

Previous experience supporting children with SEN, preferably in a primary school setting

Strong communication and teamwork skills

A patient, empathetic, and flexible approach

A current, enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
