SUNRISE WETASKIWIN DAYCARE & OSC Job details Location-Wetaskiwin, AB T9A 0P2 Work location-On site Salary30.00 to 36.00 hourly (To be negotiated) / 30 to 35 hours per week Terms of employment-Permanent employment Full time Morning, Day Starts as soon as possible vacancies1 vacancy Overview Languages English Education College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years Experience 1 year to less than 2 years On site Work must be completed at the physical location.

There is no option to work remotely.

Work setting Rural area Willing to relocate Day care center or nursery school Responsibilities Tasks Assess the childrens development in order to prepare a learning plan tailored to his needs.

Develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children Supervise staff, trainees or volunteers Synthesize the overall situation of the children and communicate the information to the parents Lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs and taking children to local points of interest Encourage children to express creativity through the media of art, dramatic play, music and physical activity Engage children in activities by telling stories, teaching songs and preparing crafts Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems and prepare reports for parents, guardians or supervisor Submit written observations on children to early childhood educators or supervisors Discuss progress and problems of children at staff meetings Knowledge of licensing regulations Establish guidelines for behavior Attend staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security and well-being of children Plan and organize activities for school-age children in child-care programs before and after regular school hours Supervise and co-ordinate activities of other early childhood educators and early childhood educator assistants Supervision 3-4 people Credentials Certificates, licenses, memberships, and courses Child development worker (ECE level 2) Experience and specialization Target audience Children Employment groups This employer promotes equal employment opportunities for all job applicants, including those self-identifying as a member of these groups: Support for youths Offers mentorship, coaching and/or networking opportunities for youth Support for Indigenous people Provides cultural competency training and/or awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers Support for mature workers Applies hiring policies that discourage age discrimination Supports for visible minorities Applies hiring policies that discourage discrimination against members of visible minorities (for example: anonymizing the hiring process, etc.) Who can apply for this job?
