Transportation Coordinator

Craftsmen Contractors is hiring an experienced Transportation Coordinator for the Minden, La. area. This is a full-time temp-to-permanent position for an industrial plant that builds steel-structured modules for data centers. You will be working day shifts from Monday through Friday.

Pay is $24/hr.

Weekly pay by direct deposit. No per diem is offered.

Job Duties:

• Schedule and monitor all outbound shipments of enclosures and materials for all product lines

• Quote transportation, crane, and set-up costs for the Technical Sales Department.

• Schedule and coordinate crane offloads with vendors, customers, project managers, and field service personnel.

• Responsible for weekly and monthly reports.

• Approve transportation and crane invoices.

• Create purchase orders for freight and crane charges.

• Work closely with Accounts Payable and Receivables on invoices and billing information, and with job estimators on quotes/bids.

• Complete daily truck loading schedule for the plant and shipping department.

• Follow all DOT regulations.

• File documents.

• Perform other duties as directed by the Director of Transportation.

Job Requirements:

• High school diploma required.

• Logistical coordination experience required.

• Computer background and general office skills required.
