Job Summary

Does it bring you joy to assist the elderly with daily activities? We are seeking a compassionate Caregivers to assist a wheelchair bound gentleman. He lives at home with his wife who has MS. He is looking for a Caregiver who is a good communicator, and who has a vehicle to drive him to PT appointments and assist at home with ADLs and light housekeeping. Preferred schedule is Monday, Wednesday, Friday, 9am to 1pm to start. Must have reliable transportation and be willing to travel throughout Prince William County and surrounding areas.

Benefits:

Hourly rate of $17 to $21 per hour based on licensing and experience.

Time and a half for major holidays.

Job Responsibilities

Must be able to perform the following essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations:

Follows the instructions of the RN Supervisor in providing personal assistance services.

Provide assistance with hygiene such as bathing, oral care, and dressing.

Assist with food preparation; serve food, performs errands, light housekeeping, laundry, wash dishes.

Observe and report any safety hazards found in the client’s home or any significant observations regarding the client.

Attend staff meetings, attend/complete 12 hours of annual in-services, and participates in orientation of new employees.

Report client complaints to the RN Supervisor.

Report abnormal findings in client’s conditions as observed and per care plan to RN.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Experience: Two years of experience as a Caregiver. Must have CNA license, CNA certificate, PCA, or HHA.

Requirements:

Authorized to work in the United States

Pass a background check and drug screen

Current Driver's License

Current TB test

Reliable transportation, able to travel throughout Prince William County and surrounding areas

Immunizations to include COVID-19 and flu strongly encouraged
