Job Duties and Responsibilities
Performs various manual tasks in the construction & maintenance of overhead power lines to include digging trenches, setting poles, installing wires and transformers, performing routine maintenance checks, and assisting the lineman with their tasks.
Assemble materials on the ground and hoist them into the work area using handlines.
Assist other crew members filling pole holes and trench using a shovel.
Flag traffic and set up job sites as directed.
Maintain organization of tools and materials on work vehicles.
Clean up and organize job sites at completion of work.
Job Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
Requires Class A level experience installing and maintaining underground power lines.
Valid CDL A is preferred.
First Aid Certification is required.
Competency in CPR and pole top rescue is required.
Experience with digger derricks, bucket trucks, trenchers, and groundwork with utility crews is required.
Must be able to pass drug, alcohol, and background checks.
Must be able to pass a physical examination.
Able and willing to travel long distances on short notice.
Able and willing to work for extended periods in various locations.
Able and willing to work in all types of weather environments including inclement weather.
Able and willing to work overtime when required.
Understanding of the utility industry and operations.

Working Conditions
Work is performed outside in all types of weather environments.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to bend, climb, stoop, stand, and lift for long periods of time.
Substantial movements of the hands, wrists, and/or fingers.
Required to have close visual acuity to perform job duties.
