Qualifications: Current and Valid CT Teaching Certification (065/165)

Performance Expectations/Qualifications/Responsibilities:

Current and Valid CT Certification as a Special Education Teacher (065/165)

Experience in working with students with diverse educational needs and supports

Strong ability to develop and maintain communication and rapport with parents

Knowledge of evidence-based learning strategies to support identified students in the least restrictive environment

Ability to collect, manage and analyze data to measure student progress and inform instruction

Experience in formal evaluation and assessment practices

Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with all stakeholders

Ability to demonstrate excellent organizational skills, a high degree of flexibility and initiative

Knows and effectively communicates the Regional School District 13 philosophy and mission.
