Adjuncts are hired on a course basis each term.

Salary Range for Adjuncts teaching in this academic area is $500.00 - $4,500.00 per course.

Governors State University's College of Arts and Sciences seeks to create an available pool of Adjunct Faculty candidates to teach Chemistry courses in the . At Governors State University, adjunct faculty are hired as temporary faculty with teaching responsibilities for a specific course in a semester or summer session. Adjuncts are not tenure-track, not a part of the faculty bargaining unit, and are not included in membership of faculty Senate.

Essential Responsibilities

Teach courses on a part-time basis.

Required and Preferred Qualifications

Required:

Master's Degree in Chemistry or related field.

Preferred:

PhD in Chemistry

Experience teaching college level Chemistry.

Professional experience in the Chemistry or Biochemistry fields.

Professional experience in Chemistry, such as Research or Consulting.
