This is radio and telephone communications work at the highest performance level operating a public safety communications network (9-1-1). Employees in this class work on an assigned 80 hours per pay period, shift basis, including weekends.
A significant aspect of this work involves dispatching assistance in cases of emergency throughout the County.
Work is performed under the supervision of Telecommunicator III.
Assignments are performed in accordance with standard 9-1-1 Communications Center practices and general work instructions.
Special Requirements Must have sat for and passed the 911 Skills Evaluation & Testing.
Must have been an Emergency Responder or 911 Dispatcher within the last 2 years.
