We are hiring for an Electrical Engineering role to immediately support our existing programs while continuing to increase our development capabilities long term. This high-growth, mid-level role will be involved throughout the project lifecycle with a focus on PCBA hardware design and testing.

About You

You have at least 6 years of hands-on project experience in embedded systems development and testing. You thrive in a fast-paced environment, supporting multiple projects while remaining organized and efficient. You're able to self-prioritize milestones while ensuring project requirements are met and specifications are thoroughly tested and documented. When facing constraints that impact your tasks, you confidently speak up and work with the team to regroup and adjust.

Qualified candidates for this role should have a background with embedded device hardware design. A strong knowledge of practical electronics including experience with analog, digital, power, and RF systems. Understanding lab instruments such as oscilloscopes, signal analyzers, and spectrum analyzers is necessary. Candidates should be familiar with PCBA design software such as KiCad, Altium, Eagle, etc. Familiarity with version control tools and Linux is preferred. This role will participate in high-level design and requirements development in both hardware and firmware domains.

About the Responsibilities

Designing electrical systems based on high-level functional specifications

Validating hardware prototypes with lab equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers)

Collaborating with engineers and technicians to support testing

Collaborating with clients and vendors to determine project requirements and specifications

Collaborating with firmware and higher level software engineers

Collaborating with manufacturers to support assembly and end-of-line fixtures

Understanding and interpretation of testing standards and procedures (UL, ETL, IEC, etc.)

Required Qualifications

Required Skills/Competencies:

In-depth knowledge of embedded electronics hardware design and testing

Experience with EMI/EMC testing procedures, standards, and lab equipment

Experience with electrical design simulation (SPICE)

Proficient with version control tools such as git

Proficient with test driven development and CI/CD

Preferred Skills/Competencies:

Design for power electronics or high voltage systems

Experience with engineering project management practices

Experience with FCC, CE, UL, and other product certification processes

Experience with Microcontroller firmware development and/or debugging

Proficient with embedded Linux environments

Proficient with Linux desktop environments

Proficient with Python scripting

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods sitting or standing at a desk and working on a computer.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in

Electrical Engineering or equivalent required; Masters degree preferred.

6+ years of related experience preferred.
