Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an MDS/Admissions role in a skilled nursing setting, requiring a MT or compact RN license and strong experience with the MDS process.
Responsibilities
Position is in a skilled nursing facility with a 110-bed capacity
Primary focus is MDS/Admissions, including initial assessments and care planning for new residents
Oversight of 20-30 patients in the transitional care unit
Eight-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday, 08:00-17:00
No weekend, holiday, or on-call requirements
EMR systems used include Meditech and Caretracker, with PCC software experience highly preferred
No floating required
Responsible for evaluating all admissions using MDS forms and coordinating with interdisciplinary teams
Ensure accurate documentation for level of care and reimbursement compliance
Report directly to the Director of Nursing
Unit culture is team oriented with staff longevity

Requirements
Active Montana RN license or compact RN license with authorization to practice in Montana
BLS certification required
3-5 years of experience in an MDS role required
Experience with MDS admission assessments and care planning
Experience training, auditing, and supporting staff on MDS assessments and compliance
Knowledge of federal and state long-term care regulations
Experience with Meditech, Caretracker, and preferably PCC software
MDS certification preferred
First-time travelers may be considered based on experience
