Job Summary
Within the policies of the Board of Education plans and coordinates the work of a team of electrical technicians and helpers in the installation, and repair of electrical equipment and related systems for the Board of Public Education under the supervision of the Electrical Shop Manager.
What you will do
Performs work associated with work orders, manages the work of others or works independently, read/interpret blue prints and schematics, inspects work and keeps all necessary records to ensure quality work.
Leads a crew in the installation and maintenance of electrical systems and equipment to ensure high quality work for the Board of Education
Maintains and orders supplies as needed to ensure necessary supplies are consistently available for routine operation, keeps accurate records and reports on work progress to ensure cost efficient department operations
Assists in the training of new personnel, and ensures that the necessary equipment and materials are available to complete the work order
Establishes and maintains working relationships with others; organize and prioritize work effectively
Installs electrical system components (e.g. lighting, alarms, electrical panels, switches, circuits, scoreboards, timers, street signs, etc.) for the purpose of providing enhanced and/or upgraded electrical capabilities.
Communicates with building customers on status of repairs.

Associate's Degree Or GED Required Licenses and Certifications
DL NUMBER - Driver License, Valid and in State Required
State Licensed Electrician Electrician license Preferred Equivalency
Starting At: $21.78
Salaries are determined by factors relevant to the position which may include education, experience, and other qualifications. Final compensation decisions are made at the discretion of MNPS in alignment with organizational policies and procedures. The stated salary range for certificated teaching positions is calculated based on 201 days and should be viewed as a reference. All provided salary ranges serve as a general guideline.
