Ford Diesel Technician

Tuttle Click Automotive Group is looking for an experienced individual to fill our Ford Diesel Technician position at the Ford/Lincoln Irvine dealership.

Compensation:

Diesel Technician Position has a Pay Scale consisting of the following elements and ranges. Wages include Base Hourly Compensation of between $33.00 and $173.00. The position also may also pay a production bonus based on individual or team performance that may range from $0.00 (if baseline benchmarks are not met) without any fixed upper limit. Additionally this position may also pay a retention bonus of $1.25 per every booked hour.

Responsibilities:

Perform work specified on maintenance and repair orders on Diesel Vehicles with efficiency and in accordance with dealership and/or Ford standards

Diagnose and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, braking, air conditioning, etc. to specification

Provide labor and time estimates for additional automotive repairs

Explain diesel mechanical diagnoses and required repairs in a non-technical manner to service advisors and customers

Continuously learn new technical information and techniques in formal training sessions to stay abreast with rapidly changing technology.

Inspect and test new vehicles and recording findings so that necessary repairs can be made.

Comply with company safety policies and procedures

Communicate directly with service advisors regarding the status of the service work

Continuously learn new technical information and techniques

Qualifications:

Ford Diesel Certified Technicians highly preferred

2+ years of Service Technician experience, preferred

ASE Certification preferred

A-level qualifications, including Diagnostic, Electrical and Engine Repair

Broad knowledge of new vehicle technologies

Ambitious, hardworking presence in a team environment

Excellent customer service skills

Basic computer skills

Positive, friendly attitude, along with a customer service mentality

Enjoy working in a dynamic environment

Ability to collaborate effectively

Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specifications

Able to operate electronic diagnostic equipment

Minimum high school diploma or GED equivalent required

Valid driver's license and insurability by employer's carrier
