Job description:

Our Automotive Controller plays a pivotal role in the financial health and strategic direction of our automotive dealership. We are immediately hiring and offer a competitive compensation package which will include a bonus plus salary and multiple company benefits.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly financial statements and ensure accuracy across all accounts.

Budgeting & Forecasting: Develop short- and long-term financial forecasts to guide dealership strategy.

Compliance: Ensure adherence to tax codes, payroll regulations, and manufacturer reporting standards.

Cash Management: Monitor cash flow and recommend profitable uses for excess funds.

Audit & Inventory Oversight: Coordinate annual audits and physical inventory checks.

Team Leadership: Supervise accounting staff and ensure proper procedures are followed.

Skills & Qualifications

Strong background in accounting and finance, ideally with a CPA or similar certification.

Experience in automotive retail or manufacturing is highly preferred.

Proficiency in dealership management systems like CDK or Reynolds & Reynolds.

Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills.

Qualifications

Required Education:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.

- CPA or CMA certification is preferred.

Required Experience:

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a financial management role, preferably within the automotive or trucking industry.

- Proven experience in managing accounting functions, financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.

- Experience with ERP systems and financial software is highly desirable.

Required Skills and Abilities:

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.

- Excellent leadership and team management abilities.

- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present financial information clearly.

- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

- Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities.
