Position Title: Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)

Location: Woodland Hills, CA

Setting: Detox / Residential Treatment Facility

Schedule: Full-Time, 8-Hour Shifts

Pay Range: $35 – $39 per hour (depending on experience)

Position Summary

The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) plays an essential role in providing compassionate and comprehensive medical care to clients in a detox and residential behavioral health setting. The LVN is responsible for monitoring client health, administering medications, and collaborating with clinical and support staff to ensure a safe, therapeutic, and compliant treatment environment.

Typical Duties and Responsibilities

Perform daily client assessments and monitor vital signs.

Administer prescribed medications and ensure accurate documentation in the EMR system.

Monitor for withdrawal symptoms and promptly report any medical or behavioral changes to the Nurse Supervisor or attending provider.

Assist in coordinating care with physicians, clinical staff, and outside healthcare providers as needed.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, medication logs, and treatment notes.

Support detox protocols and ensure adherence to physician orders and facility policies.

Respond to medical emergencies and follow appropriate crisis intervention procedures.

Educate clients on prescribed medications and health-related topics.

Ensure compliance with all state, federal, and facility regulations, including DHCS and Joint Commission standards.

Participate in shift hand-offs and communicate effectively with multidisciplinary team members.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe nursing station and medication storage area.

Qualifications

Active and unrestricted LVN license in the State of California.

CPR/First Aid certification required.

Previous experience in detox, residential treatment, or behavioral health preferred.

Knowledge of addiction treatment protocols, withdrawal management, and medication administration.

Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills.

Ability to remain calm, professional, and compassionate in a fast-paced environment.
