What you’ll do at DBH:

Data Gathering and Management

· Research & analyze existing operations, systems & procedures to determine where necessary performance improvements are desired or needed

· Designs and produces indicators to assess hospital strategic goals and performance

· Designs and produces a hospital dashboard report on quality indicators related to the PI Office and Joint Commission standards

· Provides data and support to hospital six sigma improvement projects

· Conducts special, ad hoc quality control studies on operations, services or procedures

· Helps measure and assess compliance with state, federal, agency &/or program rules & regulations.

· Provides technical assistance to performance improvement projects to assist in evaluating results

· Analyzes and presents data to clinicians and administrators

· Trains agency staff on how to construct and interpret statistical control charts and other performance indicators

Technical Reporting:

· Prepares comprehensive written reports summarizing findings & recommendations to increase agency efficiency & effectiveness

· Responsible for technical understanding of content and nature of system databases to create consistent, useful information upon which to measure performance

· Communicates with OIS and other offices to design, integrate and create an indicator evaluation system to meet hospital needs

Agency Collaboration

· Collaborates with Education & Training office to identify and promote education & training opportunities for staff (e.g., related to skills and knowledge, performance improvement, analysis of data and critical thinking)

· Participates in agency leadership meetings as requested

This is an hourly position covered by the OCSEA/AFSCME bargaining unit (union), with a pay range of 30 on the OCSEA Pay Range Schedule. Normal working hours are Monday-Friday 7:30 am - 4:00 pm. This position is located within COBH at 2200 W. Broad St. Columbus, OH 43223.

2 yrs. trg. or 2 yrs. exp. in research & analysis & written documentation of findings.

-Or completion of undergraduate core program in business or public administration or related field of study.

-Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above.
