Job Description
Primary responsibilities involve mentoring high school teachers who are providing SMSU Math courses in the College Now dual credit program. Mentoring includes ensuring teachers understand the SMSU Math curriculum and are prepared to deliver it, ensuring students are receiving college-level coursework and being evaluated appropriately, and traveling to visit the high schools at least once a semester. This position may also teach lower-division math courses on campus as needed by the department.
Required Qualifications
Master's degree in Mathematics or Mathematics Education with at least 18 credits in graduate mathematics content courses as evaluated by the search committee.
Must have taken a graduate-level Real Analysis.
Must have taken a graduate-level Statistics course.
Experience in teaching undergraduate-level College Algebra, Trigonometry, Statistics, and Calculus I as an instructor of record
Preferred Qualifications
High school teaching experience.
Experience working with dual credit programs.
