JOB TITLE SOUTHERN CARE PROGRAM SUPERVISOR COMPETITION # 2025-36 KEY RESPONSIBILITES:

Supervision of SCP staff including Case Managers, Caregivers, Support & Respite Workers, providing

coaching, mentorship and ensuring accountability.

Liaise with SECFS Alternate Care Department & CFS Units to maintain effective communication.

Participate in the Caregiver recruitment process.

Manage placement process:

Ensure placement availability is communicated to referring agency,

Receive referrals (in depth social history and relevant assessments, review and match with

potential Caregiver, discuss needs and confirm placement suitability and preparedness,

Coordinate intakes with SECFS worker, SAI Caregiver and supports,

Schedule pre-placement visitation when applicable,

Confirm placement date(s) and communicate details to appropriate departments.

Deliver performance evaluations and address any issues resulting from review.

Receive complaints and concerns; respond in a timely manner in collaboration with Case Managers.

Participate in Alternative Dispute Resolution process as required.

Review, approve and track Incident Reports and Monthly Reports.

Ensure Outcomes, Assessments, and Service Plans are current and up to date.

Review and authorize reimbursements and claims for Caregivers, and timesheets for support staff.

Facilitate monthly Caregiver meetings to foster a sense of community and connectedness, focusing on

program objectives.

Participate in on-going program development.

Ensure monthly statistics are accurate and up-to-date.

Ensure Caregiver application packages, home studies, addendums and annual foster home license reviews are completed as required.

Coordinate professional development for Caregivers, SCP team, and Respite Workers.

Travel to community as operationally required and directed by the Program Director. QUALIFICATIONS:

Completion of Bachelor of Social Work or Masters of Social Work with directly related experience, required.

Minimum three years direct supervisory/management experience, required.

Knowledge of the Child and Family Services (CFS) sector and legislation, required.

Possess a strong knowledge of the First Nations cultures and systemic issues affecting our children,

families, and communities; cultural awareness and/or sensitivity training required.

Demonstrated knowledge and/or understanding of First Nations perspectives, culture, and traditional

Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, high stress environment with a high attention to detail.

Program facilitation skills and experience, required.

Proficient in Microsoft Office, MS Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook.

Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to communicate in Anishinaabe is preferred.

Must have a valid Manitoba driver’s license and a reliable vehicle.

Must provide a satisfactory driver’s abstract annually
