ABOUT YOU
We are hiring highly a motivated individual to join our Logistics Wing Team as Principal Technician (Inspection). In this role, you will conduct scheduled maintenance inspections/functional checks on the aircraft and related equipment/parts including corrosion treatment and prevention for all maintenance production concerning aircraft maintenance during phase inspection shifts. On a daily basis, you will be required to use your technical expertise and knowledge to resolve complex technical problems while being responsible for determining/confirming Aircraft serviceability status which directly impacts flight safety of E-3A aircraft and multiple aircrew members. Your work will contribute to everyday and long-term effectiveness and efficiency of the Maintenance Production Squadron.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
The ideal candidate will meet the following requirements:
Higher Secondary education and completed higher vocational training in aircraft maintenance, or Secondary education and completed appropriate advanced vocational training;
At least 3 years post related, current professional experience;
Completion of a basic Aircraft Maintenance Course;
Thorough working knowledge of aircraft maintenance;
Very good working knowledge of aircraft systems maintenance;
Very good working knowledge of and thorough experience in interpreting technical publications and independently analyzing and rectifying complex technical problems;
Good knowledge of aircraft maintenance management systems;
Driving license equivalent to European Class B;
Working knowledge of Automatic Data Processing (ADP) systems;
Good command of English (SLP 3.3.3.3.)
The following would be considered as an advantage:
Previous experience working in an international military environment;
Experience in teaching/coaching/mentoring others;
Experience in developing training material.
YOUR ROLE
Your core duties and responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Performing Phase inspections, functional checks and corrosion control inspections on E-3A;
Performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, troubleshooting, servicing, inspection, testing, modification, evaluation, repair, replacement and adjustment of a/c components and related support equipment to include AGE basic servicing;
Detecting, identifying, removing and (by chemical or mechanical treatment of corrosion) refurbishing surfaces whilst observing the full range of corrosion preventive techniques and applying corrosion preventive compounds/paints on both the aircraft (including a/c integral tank
entry) and aircraft components;
Performing of acceptance and transfer inspections under guidance of Quality Control;
Checking quality of inspection and corrosion work within the Section;
Ensuring compliance with all applicable directives and technical documentation procedures,
Advising and assists supervisors on difficult technical matters;
Assisting the section head in managing the section;
Performing Disabled Aircraft Recovery (DAR) duties;
Providing inputs on training analysis, required level of learning and method of delivery related aspects and producing training materials, including lesson plans, presentations and tests;
Teaching, training and recommending qualification;
Performing general housekeeping duties, including ground snow/ice removal.

Good communicational skills to deal with various stakeholders in an international setting;
Skilled in conveying and demonstrating complex technical information/matters effectively in instructional or coaching settings;
Skilled in interpreting technical publications and analyzing/diagnosing technical problems;
Comfortable performing inside integral tank inspections and repairs;
Skilled in procedure and compliance enforcement to guarantee safety and quality assurance;
Team-oriented with a supportive attitude;
Ability to advise and assist supervisors.

YOUR TEAM
You will perform your duties in the Aircraft Inspection Section. Your team performs periodic phase/isochronal inspections, repairs and performs Organisational Maintenance on E-3A aircraft, repairs and performs Organisational Maintenance on E-3A aircraft Wheel &Tire, performs scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on aircraft and AGE by NDl including participation in Joint Oil Analysis Programs, performs both corrosion control prevention measures on aircraft and aircraft components and secondary refurbishment of aircraft components.

CONTRACT
Serving civilian members of NATO will be offered a contract in accordance with the NATO Civilian Personnel Regulations.
Newly recruited staff will be initially offered a definite duration contract of three years. Thereafter, an indefinite duration contract might be offered.

Salary values indicated in this vacancy notice are based on NATO`S Single Salary Spine scale
