The Kitchen Assistant maintains a supportive, positive atmosphere that welcomes and respects all individuals, promotes the potential of all, and provides a quality experience to the community. Monday through Friday 9:30-2:00 with some flexibility
Essential Functions:
Assist with the preparation and serving of food under the supervision of the Food Service Manager
Stocking and organizing food and supplies
Helping take inventory of foods and supplies
Responsible for following all YMCA, state and federal guidelines, laws and regulations around kitchen, sanitary and food preparation procedures
Responsible for the cleaning and care of the kitchen and equipment
Cleans kitchen facility in accordance to state and city guidance
Qualifications:
Prior experience preparing and serving food preferred
Ability to read, interpret and follow all YMCA, local and federal regulations and best practices pertaining to the assigned area and associated services
Strong organization and project management skills
