Position Overview

Promotes and restores patients' health by completing the nursing process; collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members; providing physical and psychological support to patients, friends, and families; supervising assigned team members.

Location and Hours of Position

NO WEEKENDS

PHN Punxsutawney Community Health Center: 200 Prushnok Dr., Punxsutawney, PA

Monday 8:30 am - 6:00 pm

Tuesday 8:30 am - 6:00 pm

Wednesday 8:30 am - 6:00 pm

Thursday 8:30 am - 6:00 pm

Friday 8:30 am - 4:00 pm

(40 hours per week, NO WEEKENDS)

Compensation

Starting at $20 per hour (Licensed Practical Nurse) PHN recognizes experience, education and site location when determining wage.

Qualifications

Registered Nurse (RN/LPN): Graduate of an approved school of nursing

Current unrestricted Pennsylvania Registered Nurse (RN/LPN) license

Current CPR Healthcare Certification

Ability to demonstrate competency in nursing skills, assessment and decision making

Knowledge, skill and ability to provide routine immunizations based on CDC and CDPH recommendations.

Knowledge, skill and ability to monitor vaccine storage and handling guidelines.

Ability to demonstrate self-discipline and work independently

Ability to work over a wide range of areas in a diverse community

Excellent communication skills both oral and written.

Excellent customer service skills.

Creative and analytical thinking

Ability to work under pressure calmly and efficiently, coping with variable workloads, intermittent delays and emotionally charged situations
