The Medical Lead – Diabetes, Medical Affairs will provide strategic and scientific support for launches and ongoing initiatives in the diabetes therapeutic area. This includes planning, publications, thought leader engagement, and communication of clinical/scientific insights relevant to diabetes care and innovation.

As part of the Medical Affairs team, the Medical Lead will focus on the efficient planning, tracking, and disclosure of key information related to diabetes treatment impact. This includes scientific publications, abstracts, oral presentations, and seminars.

The Medical Lead will provide expertise and leadership to country-level Medical Science Liaisons (MSLs) working in diabetes, supporting them through various medical projects and initiatives. The role involves building strong partnerships with therapeutic area experts in endocrinology and internal medicine to inform and support diabetes-related strategies.

Additionally, the Medical Lead will contribute scientific insights to help shape the clinical and commercial vision for diabetes therapies.

Roles and Responsibilities:

· Apply at local level the global Medical Affairs strategies for diabetes.

· Own and lead the Medical Affairs local strategy for diabetes.

· Communicate therapeutic hot topics and clinical developments in diabetes care.

· Serve as the scientific representative to the endocrinology and medical communities, facilitating appropriate exchange of scientific information.

· Participate in and support consultancy activities and leverage their outcomes.

Required Qualifications and Background:

· MD with formal training in endocrinology or internal medicine; alternatively, PhD in a relevant biomedical field with 3+ years’ industry experience in diabetes or metabolic diseases.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Ability to evaluate and report complex scientific and clinical data and translate them into clear, actionable insights.

· Proven experience working in a matrixed environment and collaborating across global, regional, and country teams.

· Self-directed and proactive, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

· Strong relationship-building skills with colleagues and external experts.

· Experience with medical and scientific leaders in diabetes is highly desirable.

· Ability to combine medical expertise with commercial understanding.

· Experience in medical environments is a plus.

· Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and applications.
