Assistant Manager - Internal Audit

About the Client:

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee daily and weekly showroom audits, guide the audit team, and follow up on findings.

Ensure key audit issues are resolved and present audit reports at monthly management meetings.

Conduct risk-focused audits and present findings with actionable recommendations.

Execute the annual Group Audit Plan within defined timelines and ensure alignment with audit objectives.

Review and improve Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and policies in coordination with operations teams.

Assess and enhance internal controls related to cash handling, inventory, and operational activities.

Monitor showroom expansion projects, construction plans, and launch-related activities.

Prepare and present process and audit reports to the Group Audit Committee quarterly.

Manage and mentor the Internal Audit team, ensuring performance, professional development, and motivation.

Utilize audit data analytics and other tools to identify control deficiencies and recommend risk mitigation strategies.

Requirements:

Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration from a recognized university.

Minimum 3 years of experience in a reputed audit firm (experience in FMCG or internal audit preferred).

Full professional qualification in CA / CIMA / ACCA / CMA.

Strong proficiency in MS Office; experience with Oracle and Audit Data Analytics tools is an advantage.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills in Sinhala and English.

Strong analytical ability to identify control weaknesses, assess risks, and propose mitigation measures.
