**The Opportunity**
12-months maternity leave contract opportunity available in Nelson, NZ for a Clinical Specialist commencing 12 January 2026. Working alongside a Product Specialist, you are primarily responsible for providing technical support in an operating theatre environment to our hospital-based customers across our Trauma, Hip, Knee and Shoulder product portfolio. Key responsibilities include:
+ Attending surgical procedures and providing expert technical support to Orthopaedic Surgeons and Nursing staff in the correct and safe use of products
+ Developing and maintaining strong relationships with customers and providing in-service training to Registrars, Nursing staff etc.
+ Optimising opportunities by passing on leads to the Sales Team and providing product demo as required
+ Maintaining strong product knowledge through ongoing training and driving clinical excellence through professional and exceptional customer experience
**About You**
+ Tertiary qualification in a health-related field (Nursing, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Exercise Science, Chiropractic etc.) and experience providing clinical support in-theatre during orthopaedic surgeries is highly regarded
+ Confidence to work effectively under pressure in an operating theatre environment
+ Strong communication, presentation and customer service skills
+ Self-starter who is results driven and solutions focused
+ Autonomous and able to work as part of a team, and is organised with good time management skills
