Responsibilities and Duties:
• Proactively identify and pursue new fabrication sales opportunities through networking, outreach, and relationship building.
• Develop and maintain relationships with contractors, vendors, and other potential clients.
• Review project specifications, drawings, and requirements to prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates.
• Collaborate with the fabrication team to ensure estimates are realistic and achievable within production capacity.
• Prepare proposals and bids that are competitive, clear, and aligned with company standards.
• Follow up on submitted bids to secure work and negotiate contract terms as needed.
• Track project opportunities and maintain an organized pipeline of potential jobs.
• Provide technical guidance and support to customers regarding fabrication capabilities and solutions.
• Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth.
• Work closely with project managers and production to ensure smooth project handoffs and execution.
• All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience:
• Proven experience in fabrication sales, mechanical contracting, or related industry.
• Strong knowledge of fabrication processes, materials, and mechanical systems.
• Experience preparing detailed cost estimates from drawings and specifications.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical documents.
• Computer proficiency with estimating software, spreadsheets, and CRM tools.
Preferred Skills:
• Experience in mechanical, piping, or sheet metal fabrication.
• Knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and safety requirements.
• Established network in the construction or mechanical contracting industry.

o High School or GED Equivalent
