Job description
We're looking for a hands-on, safety-minded Maintenance Technician to join our team at a busy chemical manufacturing facility. This role is ideal for someone with strong mechanical skills, a background in troubleshooting industrial equipment, and a proactive approach to keeping operations running smoothly. You'll handle everything from preventative maintenance and repairs to production setups and safety inspections.

Key Responsibilities:
Perform repairs, preventative maintenance, and production setups across the plant
Troubleshoot mechanical issues and use measuring tools to ensure equipment accuracy
Use a variety of hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment like drill presses, pipe threaders, and band saws
Operate forklifts and aerial lifts (training provided)
Accurately document all maintenance work, materials used, and time spent (basic Microsoft Office skills a plus)
Monitor equipment and facility systems for safety and maintenance needs
Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow all lock-out/tag-out and safety procedures
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required
At least 5 years of maintenance experience, preferably in a chemical or industrial production setting
Skilled in pipe fitting (plastic, copper, steel) and pump/compressor/valve repair
Experience with instrumentation maintenance, welding, or electrical work is a plus
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, climb stairs/ladders, and wear PPE including respirators
Willingness to work overtime, weekends, or holidays if needed to support 24/7 operations
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $28/hr - $34/hr
