Learn More: Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities: * Conduct field investigations and perform failure/accident analysis on incidents involving all types of vehicles and mechanical equipment and their impact on the human body * Conduct research and forensic investigations in the areas of impact biomechanics, occupant protection, ergonomics, workplace safety, and/or medical devices * Conduct vehicular accident reconstruction analyses * Evaluate bodily injuries inflicted by machinery, automobiles, mechanical equipment or slip/trip and falls * Apply engineering principles in accordance with industry standards to investigation analysis * Conduct unbiased investigations for various types of clients * Prepare and submit written reports, documenting findings and results when requested * Explain to clients, in layman's terms, your investigation, analysis and findings * Deliver professional presentations, develop client relationships and promote self to client groups * Provide expert testimony in legal proceedings * Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending company-paid educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, participating in professional societies * Develop and maintain client relations Position Requirements: * Undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering from ABET accredited school * Master's Degree or Ph.D.
in Mechanical Engineering, Biomechanics or similar * Education or training in Impact Biomechanics * Minimum of three years, 5+ years preferred, of post-academic engineering work experience * P.

registration through testing or ability to obtain * Public speaking experience a plus * Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills Physical Requirements: * Ability to travel 25% of the time, with potential to increase post-training * Ability to maneuver in and around job/incident sites * Ability to lift 50 lbs.
