The Virginia Alcoholic Beverage Control Authority is seeking a Distribution Center Mobile Equipment Operators. Our Distribution Center operation is responsible for receiving, sorting, and shipping over 50,000 cases of spirits across hundreds of brands every day. We are the sole supplier to over 400 Virginia ABC stores across the entire state. We achieve this through a system of production focusing on mass cases picking, individual cases picking, and bottle picking.
Distribution Center Mobile Equipment Operators help support our state-of-the-art Distribution Center processes and are responsible for operating a variety of mobile equipment to move product from various locations throughout the distribution center. This position is also responsible for standard inventory control practices, following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and safety practices and performing various tasks as needed in the distribution center.
Areas of Responsibility
Operates a variety of mobile equipment including reach trucks, order pickers, stock pickers, forklifts, clamp trucks, and motorized pallet jacks.
Stores and retrieves product from various storage locations throughout the Distribution Center
Operates production equipment, loads production materials onto machinery, and loads cases onto belts or pallets for shipping
Interfaces with Virginia ABC's Warehouse Management System
Maintains process quality control checks
Uses scanners, touchpads, and other technology to ensure strict production inventory accuracy
Depalletizes or debelts cases and organizes for delivery in outbound shipments.
Ensures that all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), safety, and sanitation practices are always followed.
Process damaged merchandise for accurate inventory counts
Cleans production lines, work areas, or other areas of the facility in order to maintain strict sanitation standards.
Assesses and reworks product within the quality control area to ensure compliance with Virginia ABC DC Standards.
Minimum Qualifications
Proficient computer skills to perform transactions in warehouse management systems
High school graduate degree or GED equivalent
Order picking, production or warehouse environment experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of a variety of mobile equipment including reach trucks, order pickers, stock pickers, forklifts, clamp trucks and motorized pallet jacks.
