GPD is looking to hire an entry-level Mechanical Engineer to join our team of HVAC/Plumbing design engineers in our Columbus, OH office.
The ideal candidate will possess:
Mechanical Engineer with 0-3 years of experience in the architectural and engineering industry, in areas like Multi-site, Retail, Educational (PK-12 and Higher Ed.), Healthcare, Federal and Industrial facilities.
Experienced in HVAC Design and Plumbing Design.
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
Understanding of Building load calculations.
Understanding of ASHRAE design standards
Ability to work within a team environment working with individuals from various offices and in various disciplines.
Skilled in AutoCAD and Revit.
Must possess excellent communication skills, professional writing skills and the ability to multi-task between several projects and priorities at one time.
Candidate should be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Some travel required for building surveys and construction administration.
Valid Driver's License is required.
Day-to-day job responsibilities:
Project design for mechanical and plumbing system.
Addressing construction RFI's and review of equipment submittals.
Communication and coordination with multi-disciplinary groups.
