Overview: ADF International, a North American leader in the design, engineering, fabrication, and installation of complex steel structures and modular construction, is seeking a Fabrication Foreman for our steel fabrication plant in Great Falls, Montana. We are looking for candidates with strong leadership skills, relevant fabrication, and production experience within the steel fabrication and construction industry.

General Expectations and Responsibilities:
Report to the Production Manager.
Oversee production for seven or more fabrication stations.
Plan, coordinate, and monitor daily work activities, fabrication progress, and resources needed to meet the production schedule and timelines.
Ensure the quality of work produced by your section.
Conduct regular inspections to check for deviations from ADF-established quality standards.
Provide new employee orientations, and inform, train, and promote safe work methods and environments.
Ensure safety rules and regulations are followed.
Meet with your team regularly to provide guidance, updates, and changes in schedule or methods.
Investigate incidents within your section and complete necessary reports.
Enforce disciplinary actions when appropriate.
Perform scheduled performance appraisals.
Manage timekeeping for your team.
Direct the flow of materials, log locations and completions.
Report and coordinate equipment repairs and inspections.
Perform other related duties or special projects as needed.
Education, Training, or Work Experience:
High School Diploma or High School Equivalency
Valid driver's license.
5+ years' experience as a fabrication foreman
Prior heavy structural steel experience
Previous experience of supervisory and management duties
Skills & Knowledge:
Leadership:
Lead by example and communicate clear instructions.
Identify and solve problems independently or with resources.
Track and manage all details in the crew's work area.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years in supervision and planning, demonstrating comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Certifications: Industry certifications such as AWS (American Welding Society) and CWB (Canadian Welding Bureau) are preferred.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in welding techniques, including FCAW and MCAW.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
Expertise in structural steel fitting.
Management Skills:
Strong ability to manage team output and ensure quality.
Operational knowledge of material handling, including rigging jigs and overhead cranes.
Effective communication skills with both managers and subordinates.
Other:
Ability to learn and adapt quickly.
Willingness and ability to relocate to Great Falls, MT.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to stand/walk for 10 hours at a time.
Ability to bend, squat, kneel for varying lengths of time.
Ability to fully articulate shoulder, elbow, hand, and wrist.
Must be able to grasp and safely operate hand and power tools.
Must be able to occasionally push, pull, lift, or carry up to 75lbs.
Must be able to work in various conditions (loud, hot, dusty, cold, etc.).
Able to ascend/descend on ladders as needed.
