Millwright (Afternoon)

**Job Title: Red Seal Millwright**

Location: Surrey, BC

Shift: Monday to Friday, 3:30 PM – 12:00 AM

Wage: $42/hour

**About the Role**

We’re seeking a skilled Millwright to join our team and ensure the safe, efficient operation of all plant systems and machinery. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone with strong mechanical aptitude, a proactive mindset, and a commitment to safety and teamwork.

**Key Responsibilities**

+ Inspect, maintain, and repair industrial equipment including hydraulic grapples and vertical band mills.

+ Perform motor maintenance and troubleshoot mechanical issues.

+ Conduct proactive repairs to minimize downtime and future breakdowns.

+ Follow and contribute to the preventative maintenance schedule.

+ Safely operate and start up machinery and equipment.

+ Adhere to Lock Out/Tag Out and Safe Work Procedures.

+ Identify and report safety hazards to management or the safety committee.

+ Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.

**Required Skills & Qualifications**

+ Technical Skills:

+ Preventive maintenance and troubleshooting

+ Installation and repair of industrial equipment

+ Blueprint and schematic reading

+ Fabrication and welding (including stick welding)

+ Proficiency with hand and power tools

+ Forklift operation

+ Physical Requirements:

+ Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

+ Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces

+ Steel-toe boots required

+ Certifications & Experience:

+ Red Seal Millwright Certification

+ 3–5 years of industrial maintenance experience

+ Valid BC Driver’s License

+ Soft Skills:

+ Strong communication (radio use included)

+ Team-oriented and respectful

+ Safety-conscious and detail-driven
