Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality, personalized, and accessible patient care. Our low-volume model allows for longer appointments, stronger relationships, and a seamless healthcare experience. We focus on efficiency and patient satisfaction. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with both back-office and front-desk responsibilities and supporting the physician in delivering exceptional, high-touch care to a limited panel of patients.

Clinical Duties

Perform venipuncture blood draws

Perform intake assessments, including taking vital signs and documenting medical histories.

Prepare patients for examinations by explaining procedures and addressing any concerns they may have.

Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.

Maintain the cleanliness and organization of clinical areas, ensuring compliance with safety standards.

Maintain quality control logs

Front Office Support and Administrative & Coordination Duties

Greet and check in patients and

Assist with scheduling and answering phones when busy

Order and manage medical and office supplies

Submit lab orders and ensure timely follow-up on results

Coordinate referrals and prior authorizations with specialist and insurance co.

Accurately document patient encounters, procedures, and lab work in EHR

Support the front desk and practice manager with administrative tasks during downtime

Qualifications

Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA)

Phlebotomy skills with at least 1 year of experience in blood draws.

Proficient in ordering labs, submitting referrals, and working within an EHR

Familiarity with EHR systems for efficient documentation and patient management.

Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients and healthcare professionals.

A strong commitment to providing compassionate care while adhering to ethical standards in a clinical environment.
