Department Information
The Continental Europe Client Group is responsible for delivering exceptional client service and operational support to Aegon AM’s EMEA clients. The team ensures that client needs are met efficiently and accurately, supporting relationship managers and sales teams in maintaining strong client relationships and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Job Purpose
The Client Service Analyst contributes to meeting and exceeding the operational and administrative needs of AAM’s EMEA clients. Working closely with senior client service managers, the role ensures a consistently high standard of client service, supporting client retention and satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Client Servicing:
Monitor the departmental email box and carry out follow-up actions.
Ensure all client requirements, enquiries, and requests are handled professionally, accurately, and within agreed timelines.
Contribute to ensuring that the client perspective is always considered in decision making.
Support Relationship Management:
Assist with client requests regarding operational questions and month-end processes.
Provide cash call documents to Dutch Mortgage Fund clients (if applicable) and inform them of investment transactions.
Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal departments.
Utilize and update Salesforce to maintain accurate client information.
Support activities related to Customer Due Diligence (CDD), Know Your Client (KYC), client communication, and management information delivery.
Process Ownership:
Develop and maintain procedures to ensure client regulatory and contractual deliverables are met.
Identify weaknesses in service delivery and implement pragmatic solutions to improve standards.
Support project work as required.
Risk & Control:
Ensure appropriate skills and knowledge through training and knowledge sharing.
Support internal audits, implement findings, and participate in Risk Control Self Assessments (RCSA).
Ensure compliance with regulatory and legislative requirements, identifying and managing risks appropriately.
Additional Responsibilities
Perform other duties as assigned by the manager, within the scope of the role.
Problem-Solving
Balancing multiple client requests and operational priorities while maintaining accuracy and timeliness.
Identifying and resolving process inefficiencies to enhance client service.
Ensuring compliance in a dynamic regulatory environment.
Experience Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Investment, or Economics.
0–3 years of relevant work experience.
Good knowledge of investment markets and financial concepts.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Excellent numeracy and analytical skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills in Dutch and English.
Customer-oriented and data-driven mindset.
Team player with a proactive attitude and sense of humor.
Preferred Skills, Education and Experience
Familiarity with Salesforce and client servicing systems.
Understanding of regulatory requirements related to client servicing.
