Senior Accountant
Our client is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their team. The ideal candidate is someone who thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment and is eager to take on diverse responsibilities. This role will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations including accounts payable and receivable, reconciliations, payroll support, and financial reporting. Your success will be defined by your ability to:
Process and record accounts payable and receivable transactions, including vendor invoices, expense reports, payments, and reconciliations
Monitor auto-billing, follow up on overdue accounts, and manage system access based on payment status
Prepare deposit slips and reconcile payment methods (credit card, debit, cash, cheque)
Ensure accurate posting of invoices and payments from the CRM system into the general ledger
Prepare monthly billing and assist with payroll processing
Support month-end financial close including journal entries for payroll, prepaids, accruals, investments, and deferred dues
Assist with annual budget preparation, quarterly forecasts, and ad-hoc financial analysis
Collaborate with the Director of Finance to support the annual audit process
Respond to accounting-related inquiries from clients and other departments
Participate in department meetings, staff training, and contribute to continual improvement initiatives
Ad hoc duties as assignedYour strengths include:
5+ years of full cycle accounting experience
Familiarity with the Real Estate industry, non-profit or association environments is considered an asset
Previous experience with Business Central is ideal, but not required
Experience with CRM systems, vendor management, and e-commerce platforms is an asset
Bachelor's degree in Finance or Business Administration preferred; Accounting Diploma accepted
Strong knowledge of GAAP, ASPE, and accounting best practices
Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and time management
Strong communication and customer service skills
