About the Role

Central Texas Recruiting is seeking a highly skilled Principal Cloud Engineer to design and implement mission-critical cloud solutions supporting DoD and Intelligence Community operations. In this leadership role, you’ll architect scalable, secure cloud environments, integrate advanced data systems, and drive innovation across multi-cloud infrastructures. This is an excellent opportunity for a senior engineer passionate about delivering resilient, high-performance cloud technologies for national security missions.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the design, development, and implementation of cloud-based systems for DoD and IC missions

Collaborate with stakeholders to define requirements and architect scalable, secure cloud solutions

Apply expertise with AWS, Azure, and ELK to support high-availability and mission-critical operations

Leverage Atlassian tools (JIRA, Confluence, etc.) to manage engineering tasks and documentation

Develop data visualizations and dashboards using Tableau, Power BI, or similar business intelligence tools

Mentor and guide engineering teams on cloud best practices, resilience, and security standards

Drive adoption of hybrid and multi-cloud architectures that meet DoD and IC compliance standards

Qualifications & Requirements

U.S. Citizenship Required

️ Active TS/SCI with Full-Scope Polygraph Required

Education & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in a related field with 18+ years of relevant technical experience

Proven success supporting USCYBERCOM or Intelligence Community partners in cloud initiatives

Strong background in AWS, Azure, ELK, and enterprise data platforms

Technical Skills & Competencies:

Expertise designing and deploying secure, scalable cloud infrastructures

Experience using Atlassian tools (JIRA, Confluence) for collaboration and project tracking

Proficiency with data analytics and visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI)

Deep understanding of hybrid and multi-cloud architectures within DoD/IC environments

Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with the ability to guide cross-functional teams
