What You'll Do: Under the leadership of Governor Mike DeWine and Lieutenant Governor Jim Tressel, DAS seeks a candidate for a constituent aide role to serve in a fiduciary capacity to agency leadership.
DAS is a cabinet level agency that serves as the engine of state government, providing innovative solutions and supporting the efficient operation of state agencies, boards, and commissions.
Ideally, candidates will have a strong interest in public service, public policy, and Governor DeWine's vision for an Ohio that works for everyone.
Candidates will undergo a training period and will develop an understanding of state government administration to serve as a trusted resource and liaison between multiple departments and within the assigned agency.
Additionally, candidates may be assigned to a different agency.
Some anticipated duties include: * Provides assistance & information to constituents by responding to letters, emails, &/or calls and walk-ins from concerned citizens following established protocols; * Logs calls/complaints into tracking system; * Communicates with caller(s) or obtains details through follow-up communication (e.g., email, correspondence); * Researches issues raised to confirm accuracy of allegation(s); * Drafts appropriate constituent response for supervisor's signature; * Refers constituents to appropriate responder; * Works closely with other agencies and offices to ensure that the appropriate assistance is provided; * Prepares special proclamation requests; * Serves as back-up to front desk receptionist; * Assists with projects as assigned.
Serves as an unclassified employee pursuant to O.R.C.
Section 124.11 (A)(9). Equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above.
