About the Role

We're looking for a dependable and detail-oriented part-time weekend technical director/master control operator to join our operations team. You'll help ensure our on-air broadcasts run smoothly, consistently, and in compliance with all company and FCC standards. If you're technically inclined, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and enjoy being part of a high-energy team, this is the perfect opportunity for you.

What You'll Do

Operate technical and master control systems during weekend newscasts and programming.

Monitor multiple channels and systems for quality and compliance.

Support live newscasts, network feeds, and special programming.

Communicate with newsroom and production teams to ensure seamless operations.

Provide fill-in coverage for team members' PTO or sick days, as needed.

What We're Looking For

Technically minded, dependable, and detail-oriented.

Prior experience in broadcast operations or technical directing is preferred.

Ability to work weekend afternoon/evening shifts consistently.

Reliable transportation and flexibility for occasional call-ins.

Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset.

Heritage Broadcasting is based in beautiful Northern Michigan. This position will be based out of our Cadillac office. This is a great place to live, work, and play!
