Job Summary
The Child Care Caregiver is responsible for providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children in their care. This role supports children’s physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development through structured activities and attentive supervision.Key Responsibilities
Supervise and ensure the safety of children at all times
Assist with planning and implementing age-appropriate activities and curriculum
Promote positive behavior and social skills through guidance and role modeling
Monitor and document developmental progress, behavior, and milestones
Support meal times, diapering, toileting, and naptime routines
Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding child progress and concerns
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment per licensing and health standards
Follow all center policies, licensing regulations, and safety protocols
Collaborate with other caregivers and staff to create a cohesive care teamQualifications
High school diploma or GED required
Previous experience in a licensed child care setting preferred
CPR and First Aid certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire)
Ability to lift 30+ lbs, bend, kneel, and sit on the floor with children
Strong communication, patience, and organizational skills
Passion for working with young children in a diverse, inclusive environmentWork Environment
