Description We are seeking a Principal Architect to design strategic solutions for our portfolio of Digital applications.
As a member of an agile solution architecture team, you will partner with Experience Owners and work with agile product development teams to design and implement architecture that enables quality of highly integrated applications.
You will be part of a highly collaborative, cross-functional scrum team, aligned with one or more product workstreams to develop and deliver digital solutions that push the limits of continuous improvement and innovation of our technology stack.
The Principal Architect will also work with scrum teams to ensure high level quality and on time delivery.
Responsibilities: * Work with Experience Owners, Execution Managers, and IT leadership to understand and capture business vision/goals, and collaborate with other product, domain, and application architects to define the solution/integration approach to support the business outcomes * Conduct technical assessment of business ideas and concepts to support business value and prioritization * Develop product-level target states * Design and present architectural designs, sequence and flow diagrams * Collaborate with solution architects, vendors, tech leads and developers * Deliver business value through key solution architecture decisions, including transformation of ecosystems, lifecycle and processes * Assist business and IT teams to evaluate emerging technology products and services * Support the strategic goals of the bank, including alignment with strategic capabilities, target architectures & technology standards * Support the evolution of the architecture practice * Analyze enterprise business drivers to determine corresponding change requirements * Analyze the IT environment to detect critical deficiencies, and recommend solutions for improvement * Coordinate solution architecture implementation and modification activities Basic Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree * 3+ years working in an architect space Preferred Qualifications: * 3 years of experience as an architect or tech lead responsible for architecture responsibilities * Solution Architecture experience across the business, technology, data, application, and infrastructure domains * Experience working in Agile/Scrum * Experience with SDLC, waterfall and agile delivery, including DevOps automation * Experience with Cloud solution enablement, system/app decoupling * Experience working with RESTful APIs, microservices, and modern web application frameworks * Demonstrated proficiency and experience in performing Solution Architecture for large and complex solutions across the enterprise * Highly motivated with strong organizational, analytical, decision making, and problem-solving skills * High level of professionalism and confidence with the ability to build credibility as a trusted advisor with leadership, team members, and business partners * Ability to problem-solve, plan, scope, and provide estimates for work effort, producing quality deliverables on time and on budget * Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a proven ability to interact effectively across all organizational levels, and explain/influence technical concepts clearly and concisely to multiple layers of peers and leadership #LI-remote Exempt Status: (Yes = not eligible for overtime pay) (No = eligible for overtime pay) Yes Applications Accepted Through: 01/05/2026 Huntington expects to accept applications through at least the date above, and may continue to accept applications until the position is filled.

Compensation Range: 70,000.00 - 140,000.00 USD Annual The compensation range represents the low and high end of the base compensation range for this position.
Actual compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance.
Colleagues in this position are also eligible to participate in an applicable incentive compensation plan.
